DTF printing is one of the modern methods of printing images on textile products, which has become popular in recent years. DTF stands for "Direct to Film," which means "Direct printing on film." This technology allows an image to be printed on a special film using a DTF printer that uses special inks. These inks have a formula that provides strong adhesion to the textile.

After the image is printed on the film, it is transferred to the product using a heat press. During the process of transferring the film to the textile product, the heat press heats the film, and the image is transferred from the film to the surface of the fabric, resulting in a bright and high-quality image on the textile product.

Advantages of DTF printing:

  1. The main advantage of DTF printing is the ability to print on various materials such as cotton, polyester, nylon, on mixed fabrics and can be used to create images on a wide range of textile products such as t-shirts, caps, sweatshirts, hoodies, bags, jackets, backpacks, and many more.

  2. The DTF method allows for vibrant and saturated colors, as well as creating images with high detail and resolution that do not lose their properties during washing and wear.

  3. This printing method allows for high-quality images on textile products even in small quantities (from 1 unit), making it ideal for individual orders, such as printing clothing for private individuals, sports teams, music groups, schools, universities, small and medium-sized companies, and other organizations.

  4. DTF printing is excellent for applying logos, slogans, and other branding elements to corporate clothing. Branded clothing can become a powerful marketing and advertising tool, helping to increase brand recognition and strengthen its image.

  5. Low cost and high application speed, especially when printing small-sized full-color images, logos, slogans, make it particularly attractive for small businesses and those engaged in individual production of textile products.

However, there are some disadvantages to DTF printing:

  1. The print does not allow air to pass through: due to the fairly dense adhesive layer, DTF printing can hinder the circulation of air through textile products if the print is very large and the fabric is very low density.

  2. The feeling is similar to a sticker: although the print made by the DTF printing method is quite soft and thin, it can have a sticker-like feel on fabrics, which may not be as comfortable as direct digital printing or screen printing.

Overall, DTF printing is a versatile and efficient relatively new method of printing on textile products that can be used for both individual orders and corporate needs. It has already gained wide acceptance in the textile industry due to its versatility and the ability to produce high-quality images, successfully replacing other printing methods while also being faster and more cost-effective.
